THE SAGA CONTINUES

This week marks the launch of the newly re-branded Project: Planet Tyro in the wake of a seemingly sour April Fools Joke I played on our spill group followers.

This weeks show was a damn fun one to record, it really wasn’t as planned out as I usually make em but considering how it turned out I might be doing more spur of the moment shows like this one…..well probably not lol……but anyhow.

This week we got not 1 but 2 special guests. The first being our very own HybridMedia aka MAK 2.0 followed by an Escaped convict / up and coming Anime YouTube reviewer: Miniman12544 aka Rob (lol) from Aniview Reviews

So what did we chat about you ask…..well….we have some Samurai Champloo for ya…then the infamously shite Ninja Scroll TV Series and then lastly for those of you who may not know by now we go over and discuss the recent Mr. Anime Incident. Also between all of the main highlights we veered off a few times and spouted about other stuff like Iron Man In Space, The Boondocks, The We Are Alive Zombie Audio Drama and even give ya a little taste of Madoka Magica!

It’s funny cuz I swore I would not edit this episode and just leave it in the RAW form but damn, after re-listening to it, I HAD to trim off the fat and just leave the greatness.

Really enjoyed making this one….Thanks fella’s

WE’RE BACK….

This week we take some time to sift through the mass amounts of flame emails to answer some constructive and interesting questions from our audience.
These questions cover things like why Anime is not such a big deal, why profesiional animators in Spill Cru don’t watch / talk about anime and why recommending anime to others van be a pain in the ass…….and let’s not forget how the Academy has acknowledges Anime over the years (lol)

Then we take a break…..tick…tock

Afterwards me and Nuansay have a mixed discussion / review about Soul Eater and Bleach / Naruto……no we didn’t go off on them again the conversation just seemed to slip back and forth into em.

That all seemed to take a couple of hours….who wouda flunk it

Hey Happy New Year Everybody

This episode we are gonna kick things off with a BANG as I talk about my thoughts on the Anime & it’s potential influence on the Movie Industry with Spill.com creator Korey Coleman….granted this is an exert from the new years eve call-in show but never the less it was an interesting conversation and I felt it was appropriate to add it in this episode.

Next myself & The Old Boy talk about the Killer franchise which is Ichi…Manga..Anime & the live action movie.

Then we have the talented EriksBlue here helping me review and discuss the much talked about Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt Anime series. To spice things up a little I decided to also include another apt Spill.com podcast snippet this time from the LEOG where they also discussed P&S.

Well it’s that time of year folks…..festivities…gifts….christmas tree’s and lets not forget WAR

Yes war folks it’s time me and Nuansay drop this heavy load of war-themed anime and movie stuff on your tyro ears…why..why you may ask well mostly because lately I’ve gained an interest in world history and things of such nature so why not share my experiences and thoughts…I mean isn’t that what Xmas is all about sharing and carnage…erm I mean caring……welll yeah…I guess

Anyhow I am sure you guys have all read my recent Barefoot Gen review – well we discuss that in a little in this episode as well as two other excellent WWII anime movies. Who’s Left Behind & the famed Grave of the fireflies.

Later in the cast I talk about my personal knowledge (and lack there of) regarding history and how the hell someone as careless as I even became interested in something many people could really give two shits about.

Of course there are tons of honourable mentions which I will list below for those of you who may be interested in some of the things you hear on the podcast.

This is our first Anime Review Roundup episode where I have put together some anime reviews from one of our previous review projects and joined them all together for a single podcast!

When I first started this Podcast I initially wanted to review anime separately from discussions much like how Spill.com has movie reviews separate from their podcast projects but without going into a too much explanation its not a practical idea and there was not enough demand for it.
